The Metals Company is a Vancouver-based operating company that holds licenses in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone for mining polymetallic nodules. It is a publicly traded company that trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker TMC.
The Metals Company is widely regarded as being one of the most advanced deep sea mining companies. It has carried out a number of exploratory and test cruises in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, including a collector test of a 1/5th scale collector and RALS.
The Metals Company has a partnership with Allseas, and uses Allsea's "Hidden Gem" as their production support vessel for deep sea mining operations.

Allseas is a Swiss-based offshore contractor that specialises in offshore pipe laying, offshore heavy lifts and subsea construction. Their subsidiary, Allseas Engineering B.V., is based in the Netherlands and provides project management and engineering services; one part of which is for deep sea mining.
Allseas provides crucial deep sea mining services to The Metals Company. They have developed a subsea collector, collector launch and recovery system, and riser air lift system. These are deployed from the "Hidden Gem" production support vessel, which is a modified deep water drillship.

Transocean is an American company, and is the world's largest offshore drilling contractor. They operate around 37 mobile offshore drilling units, and primarily provide drilling contractor services to oil and gas companies

Global Sea Mineral Resources (GSR) is a subsidiary of the Belgian dredging group DEME. GSR holds licenses in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone for mining polymetallic nodules.
GSR is working on a proprietary subsea collector vehicle, and has a joint-venture with Transocean to convert their "Olympia" deepwater drillship into a production support vessel.

Loke is developing a range of different technologies. These include subsea collectors for collecting polymetallic nodules, as well as UAVs for various roles including surveying, sampling and drilling.

Scanmudring

Scanmudring is a Norwegian offshore and subsea services company, that specializes in offshore wind, oil and gas, aquaculture, and salvage and recovery operations. They have performed a large amount of subsea operations, and have converted equipment for milling, crushing, drilling and extraction of subsea minerals.
Scandinavian Ocean Minerals

Scandinavian Ocean Minerals is a Swedish company that has plans to harvest polymetallic nodules from the Bothnian Bay and the Baltic Sea.
The Bothnian Bay has polymetallic nodule abundances reaching 15-40 kg/m² in an ~200km² area, which is the equivalent to around 3 million tonnes of nodules.
